Care
How to look after your crochet
Handmade cotton lasts for years with very little effort. Here's everything I do with my own pieces.
- 01
Washing
By hand, in cool or lukewarm water with a mild soap. Press gently, never wring.
- 02
Drying
Roll in a towel to draw out the water, then dry flat, away from direct sun.
- 03
Shaping
Coax the shape back with your hands while the piece is still damp — cotton keeps the shape you give it.
- 04
Storing
Keep flat or hanging, somewhere dry. Amulets and keychains like to hang.
- 05
Loose threads
Never cut them. Pull the thread back through with a tapestry needle.
- 06
Stains
Spot-treat with cool water and a soft cloth, as soon as you can.
Not sure about your piece? Write to me — I repair and refresh anything I've made.
